ATRRS
Revitalizing the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS)
Data-Driven Innovations
The U.S. Army relies on the ATRRS suite of applications to manage personnel input into institutional training, monitor force readiness, and plan for the future. Manmade Creative collected insights and overhauled nearly 30 different ATRRS applications. From updating user interfaces to streamlining online processes, we systematically aligned ATRRS with contemporary web standards and increase system usability.
Key Impacts:
Enhanced usability with intuitive designs, reducing user reliance on instruction and helpdesk
Increased stakeholder satisfaction with modern, user-friendly interfaces
Continuous updates aligned with emerging trends and the needs of a mobile workforce
Applied Agile methodology to enable ongoing, incremental improvements
Revitalization
ATRRS serves as the primary platform for soldiers and military personnel to register for training courses, track their progress, and ensure that they meet the necessary requirements for their current roles and career advancement. ATRRS interfaces were severely outdated and unintuitive, confusing users and requiring assistance for nearly every task. Manmade Creative’s mission was to simplify and modernize ATRRS to be intuitive to use and to promote self-service operations.
Through the use of journey maps, our team redesigned the processes end-to-end, leveraging current web standards and cues, eliminating the need for onscreen instructions and reducing helpdesk calls by nearly 50% on affected applications.
The Result
Updating the ATRRS applications provided significant benefits to users by making the system more efficient and user-friendly, increasing the ability to perform tasks unassisted. The improvements also ushered the way for mobile access and introduced task automation, like: course approvals, notifications, and compliance tracking made the system more efficient for both soldiers and administrators alike.
Let's build something great.
